Founder of HD Jewels, David is a self-taught Alsatian gemologist whose reputation extends well beyond French borders. Passionate adventurer, tireless globe-trotter, lapidary, rigorous mineralogist and seasoned trader, he combines a diverse range of skills, making him one of the most eminent gemologists in France.
His atypical career testifies to an insatiable curiosity and a deep love for gems. His mastery of the art of negotiation, acquired through his numerous travels and experiences around the world, allows him to conclude advantageous transactions and guarantee his clients stones of incomparable quality. He does not hesitate to explore the most remote and inaccessible corners of mines around the world to discover exceptional gems!
His commitment to excellence and passion for gems is reflected in every aspect of his work. Whether by carefully analyzing the mineralogical composition of gems or by establishing trusting relationships with local miners and dealers, he constantly strives to exceed his clients' expectations.

David Leyemberg, our jeweler
David has acquired a solid background in general mechanics, crowned by a BTS in industrial product design. As soon as he entered professional life, he was able to demonstrate his skills as a machinist in a furniture company, where he quickly progressed to become a project manager in the design office. For more than ten years, he successfully managed the design of prototypes, the preparation of quotes and ensured the monitoring of projects until their complete industrialization, ensuring customer satisfaction.
His passion for jewelry was born in 2018 at the Minéral et Gemmes show in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, where the mineral wealth of our planet deeply inspired him. Driven by a desire for creativity, he invested in the necessary tools and quickly began designing jewelry on his own, revealing an innate talent for this profession. Determined to turn this passion into a new career, he undertook a professional retraining and obtained his CAP jeweler, after nine months of intensive training. Recognized and appreciated for his expertise and his ability to pass on his know-how, he was invited by a teacher at his school to train students in jewelry in turn.
Today, he puts his know-how at the service of a company specializing in the creation of jewelry for major brands, where he continues to excel in his field, while offering us his freelance services during his free time.
Eliott Betend, our web Master
Holder of a master's degree in geology (MSc Hons) specializing in mineral exploration and processing, Eliott has in-depth expertise in the mining sector. He also masters computer programming (Python, R, SQL, HTML) as well as data analysis and visualization tools.
In early 2024, Eliott played a key role in the design and development of the HD Jewels website, the brand's new online sales interface. Using his marketing and communication skills, he enabled HD Jewels to make a remarkable entrance into the world of e-commerce and digital.
Today, while continuing his full-time work in the mining sector, Eliott maintains the website and manages all digital aspects of the brand. Thanks to his commitment and versatility, HD Jewels benefits from a robust and dynamic online presence!
